By year, 1990s and 2000s lead this selection; follow the decade links for a wider look at vehicles that could sit together in the same period setting. These listings most often appear under American, Sports car and Classic; consider that mix alongside the setting and the role you want the vehicle to have in the shot. The colours listed most often are blue and blue/white; those choices can help you narrow the search when the visual reference has a clear palette in mind.
The Dodge Viper was American excess distilled into a sports car. Launched in the early 1990s with an enormous V10 engine and very little in the way of electronic help, it was built in several generations until 2017 and became a poster car for a generation of enthusiasts.
On screen, a Viper is loud in every sense. It suits 1990s and 2000s American settings, characters who want to be noticed, music videos, fashion and automotive content that needs aggression and colour. The long bonnet and low cockpit look dramatic from almost any angle, and the exhaust note is a sound design opportunity in its own right.
Vipers demand respect: owners or precision drivers should handle any driving, and exhausts and sills can get hot, so cast and crew need briefing. CarSeen lists Viper coupes and the related Viper-engined Ram SRT-10 from private owners.
